POSITION SUMMARY

We're looking for a sharp, steady financial leader to own the accounting function at Buddha Jewelry. As our Accounting Manager, you'll be the engine behind our financial integrity — ensuring our books are accurate, our processes are airtight, and our leadership team has the clear, timely financial picture they need to make great decisions.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and real impact. You'll manage and mentor our Staff Accountant, drive operational excellence across all accounting functions, and serve as a key partner to the COO/CFO. MUST HAVES

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting, AP/AR, reconciliations, and tax compliance
  • Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized — accuracy is non-negotiable for you
  • Tech-savvy, with experience in systems such as NetSuite, Shopify, and Google Suite/MS tools
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup-minded environment where things move fast and priorities shift
  • 100% on-site in Seattle (we collaborate in real time!)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, Manage, Accountability — Mentor and develop the Staff Accountant to build technical skill, business understanding, and the ability to connect financial data to operational decisions
  • Financial Reporting — Own accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that clearly communicate business performance to leadership
  • Day-to-Day Accounting Operations — Drive daily accounting workflows including AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries with accuracy and organizational clarity
  • Departmental Organization & Processes — Maintain clean, documented, and consistently followed accounting processes that enable efficiency and cross-training within the team
  • Tax Preparation & Compliance — Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax obligations
  • Asset Management — Track, reconcile, and report on company assets including fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and disposal records
  • Insurance & HR Administration Support — Coordinate insurance renewals, claims, and HR-related financial administration to ensure compliance and continuity

  • Highly organized and process-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred

TITLE: Accounting Manager

REPORTS TO: VP, Global Operations

FULL/PART TIME: Full-time

FLSA: Exempt

LOCATION: Office

COMPENSATION RANGE: $105-$117K, (range includes 15% bonus)
